Mr. Thomas Curran

Tom Curran, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been a Georgia resident since age 13.  He received his Bachelors of Arts in English from Piedmont College, after stops at Gainesville State College and the University of Georgia.  He completed his Masters of Arts in Teaching, with a focus on secondary English, from Piedmont College.  He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Tau Delta, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.  He currently teaches 9^th grade English, as well as Drama.  He is involved with Verses and Voices, the poetry writing club on the Tech High campus.

Ms. Alicia McKenzie

Alicia McKenzie was born in Queens, NY but raised in Stone Mountain, GA.  After graduating from high school, Ms. McKenzie attended the University of Georgia where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education.  Upon graduating, she began her teaching career in Henry County and also obtained a Masters of Education degree in Reading, Language, and Literacy from Georgia State University.  She joined the faculty of Tech High School for the 2011-2012 school year.

Ms. Maureen T. Reuter

Maureen T. Reuter joined Tech High School in 2011. She holds a B.S. in French with French and English education certification and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on gifted and talented instruction, both from the University of Texas at Arlington. Ms. Reuter teaches 9th Grade Literature and Composition, American Literature, AP Literature and Composition, and Advanced Composition. In addition to teaching, Ms. Reuter is the new yearbook club sponsor at Tech High School. She is passionate about preparing her students to meet the challenges of life in our 21^st century global culture.
