Career Development Academies

Our school offers a Career Academy Program.  The Career Academy Program is comprised of the following:

1.  Dual Enrollment.  The dual enrollment program is multi-faceted as it provides opportunities for students to take business, technology and nursing classes at Atlanta Technical College.  In addition, they can attend other local colleges to receive college credit while attaining high school credit simultaneously. 

Dual Enrollment offers three opportunities:

2.  Dual Seal.  The dual seal provides students an additional seal on their diploma by taking courses at colleges or completing career academy program classes at Tech High such as Engineering, Information Technology and Communication. 

Electives leading to dual seals:  Engineering Classes (Engineering I, II, and Advanced; Information Technology, Computer Applications I and II, Journalism, Speech)

3.  Job Shadowing, Internships, College Tours,  and Professional Speaker Information sessions place a significant focus on attending a College, University or Technical school.  The Military is also an option.  Our goal is to ensure that our students successfully transition into a career or college immediately following high school graduation.
