Tech High School is a public charter high school. Charter schools are public schools and operate on a budget primarily funded by local, state, and federal allotments. Charter schools have the flexibility to implement innovative curricula. Because Tech High is a public charter school, we are not allowed to have entrance criteria.

Tech High School is a school of choice. As such, parents who choose Tech High are demonstrating their agreement with the school’s philosophy. Tech High’s founding charter agreement was negotiated between the Atlanta Board of Education and Tech High School. This contract outlines school operations and accountability measures.
